As a member of the AHNA (American Holistic Nurses Association), I heartily endorse SuperHealth as a holistic modality for holistic nurses and nurse coaches.
Mukta Kaur Khalsa, PhD is the Director of SuperHealth, a specialty of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. SuperHealth is on the cutting edge of behavioral health and addiction recovery blending the ancient wisdom of yogic science with western medicine to inspire and uplift the human spirit. Mukta is a member of the AHNA. She is a renowned, beloved teacher of many and travels around the world providing workshops and professional training in this specialty. She has published the books, Meditations for Addictive Behavior and Healing Addictive Behavior.
I had the opportunity to attend two phenomenal weekend trainings and a professional training with Mukta and Suchas Kaur. Surprisingly, there were few nurses in the trainings which were comprised of numerous health professionals and individuals from all over the world interested in alternative methods for treating habit behaviors and substance addictions. We as nurses need this training!
There is an annual professional training intensive in Espanola, NM. This years dates are March 23 – 30, 2019. The trainings are open to everyone: healthcare professionals (psychologists, medical community, nurses and counselors), yoga teachers and individuals for their personal and professional development. Mukta would very much like to have more nurses attend and offer this yogic technology in their practice (Nursing: Approval to award 63.25 CNE Contact Hours, AHNA #1249).
A recent new development is that SuperHealth has been approved as a vendor with the Federal government in order to serve veterans. This is a new initiative and Mukta is still working on the process of vetting SuperHealth providers, but she believes this will beneficially impact delivery of services by health professionals in the field.
Please help me help Mukta get the word about SuperHealth out and reach the holistic nursing and holistic nurse coaching audience.
